staying motivated - how do we do it?

I'd love your feedback on this one.

We all have days when we think we just can't do anything 'extra' like keep on top of clutter.

My favourite techniques to keep myself at least doing SOMETHING on those days are to

a) declutter anything I can reach while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil

b) kick anything that should go in the bin in that direction every time I walk past it (gently - no broken toes here please). By the time something has been kicked once or twice it is usually close enough to the bin to be put in easily.

c) just do ONE thing. Even if I can't bring myself to spend just 10 or 15 minutes doing a single cupboard, I can usually persuade myself to go and grab just one thing out of that cupboard and throw it in the donation box or the rubbish. Every little counts when it is keeping on top of clutter.
