Living room de-cluttering: weed the DVDs

Posted on July 20, 2012 by lessismo | 0 Comments

Do we still need DVDs at all? With movie channels, video on demand and subscription services like QuickFlix it could be time to stop buying DVDs.  Think about how often you re-watch DVDs. If you don’t do it much then it makes a lot of sense to rent or subscribe to a (legal) download service.  Have a think about it.

In the mean time, take a look at your DVD collection.   What can we de-clutter? If you haven’t watched them recently, and don’t have a child who will grow into them soon, it is time to pass them on to someone who will enjoy them.

Find 3 DVDs to donate, 3 to give away, and check if you have any that need to be returned.  Put them where you will actually return them, rather than just have them knock around the house until they are scratched and useless.
